Congressional Candidate Demands 10-Year Moratorium On All Immigration

North Carolina congressional candidate Pete D’Abrosca appeared on Friday evening’s edition of “Tucker Carlson Tonight” to argue that the US should have a ten-year moratorium on all immigration.

D’Abrosca, who’s running in the GOP primary against North Carolina Representative David Rouzer, outlined his vision for zero net immigration during the segment.

“So, about 200,000 people leave the United States every year,” D’Abrosca told Tucker Carlson. “Bringing in 200,000 legal aliens would be fine, but bottom line, we would like to have no population increase from legal immigration.”

“Oh, you’re not allowed to say that,” Carlson replied, before adding “because the left controls the terms that the right uses, as you know, and you’re allowed to say under duress that you’re against illegal immigration, but you’re never allowed to say that there should be some absolute cap.”

“Well, those are the old party rules, Tucker,” D’Abrosca continued. “There’s a new Republican party in town and it’s people like myself who are younger, and less controlled by the Conservative Inc. crowd and the political elites.”

“We understand the game, and we understand that the Chamber of Commerce has bought and paid for our Congresspeople,” D’Abrosca went on, “and we understand that it has bought and paid for organizations like Turning Point USA and media outlets like the Daily Wire, for example, who are not meaningfully conservative in any way and can never be trusted to conserve anything.”

“I mean, tell me what your rationale is, though,” Carlson said. “I mean, they are going to attack you, probably, on a bunch of different levels for saying this. Why should people agree with your idea?”

The North Carolina congressional candidate went on to explain the detrimental effects that importing close to one million legal immigrants each year has had one the working and middle classes of this country via wage suppression.

“Even Republicans, supposed conservatives, are lobbying right now to increase high skilled tech visas,” D’Abrosca noted.

“Now, imagine being an ordinary American and going to college with the idea that there’s upward mobility in society, that you’re going to improve your life by going to college and taking on $100,000+ in student debt, and you get out of college and you’re competing with a foreigner for a computer engineering job.”

“But that’s the free market, we’re told [by the GOP establishment],” Carlson retorted sarcastically.

D’Abrosca then aptly replied, “the free market capitalism of Wall Street is much different than the free market capitalism of Main Street.”

  1. I would vote for him if I lived in NC. The people who are coming here should stay where they are, and make life better there.

    • Agree 100%. All immigration needs to be halted for a time period.
This Country cannot take any more people right now. We are overflowing .

  2. Stopping illegal immigration including legal immigration is a non=starter. As the American economy grows so does the demand for labor and the present growth of the labor market is dependent on education and market skills of immigrants as well Americans.

  3. I agree, we should stop legal immigration until illegal immigration is brought under control. And only allow immigrants that have something to contribute to this country, who are willing to put aside their past allegiance to any prier country. Who are willing to bring only the best of their culture and integrate that into our culture.

  4. Americans have to be careful because now Washington doors are open to foreign born to different cabinets those people are not Americans they will always support people from their origin only not Americans. We see it! It’s happening now Illegal. immigrants taking over demanding immigration laws to be changed because they have people now in high government positions. It’s a shame because they keep saying “ am working for American people”.

  5. Heck, I have a very good friend who lives in North Carolina! I’m calling him and telling him to “get ‘r done” re: getting this guy in there! We need more like him. IMHO

  6. Last I heard there were 12 million illegal aliens who have crossed our borders in the dead of night since 2014. I am sure there were tons more that came from then until now. President Trump slowed that way down despite the Drms whining how inhumane it was for the U.S. not to just let these uneducated(even by Mexoco’s standards), non-skilled lawbreakers overrun us because of various reasons. None of which justifies ignoring our immigration laws….but I digress.
We take in 1 million immigrants per year legally, but that is not enough for them. Let’s say 4 more million crossed since 2014, probably more but that is a total of 16 million illegals. So… 16 million ÷ 1 million is 16. So to my mind, since the world ignores our immigration law anyway, shutdown immigration from everywhere for 16 years. Arrest, process and return anyone crosding our border by plane, train, var, truck, submarine, catapult…you get the idea. That’s it. See you in 16 years. Got a problem with that? Take it out on the coyotes, human traffickers, drug smugglers, MS-13.

  7. P.S. don’t worry about ISIS members and other terrorists. The U.S. will take care of them so if the dead weigh stops trying to cross then it will be easier to apprehend the terrorists. Okay for you?
Don’t answer that. We don’t care if you agree or not.

  8. If we stopped immigration completely for a while then the kids that came out of college to find out they are competing for jobs with Asians and Europeans, could stop working at McDonalds and get work in their field. I am tired of us caring about employment for foreigners before our own people. That absolutely has to stop, right along with educating those from other nations. No wonder we are behind in tech.

Science, Technology, Engineering,Mathematics.
Not sure that is right but there it is.

  10. Well, I am not a YOUNG REPUBLICAN but I total agree with D’Abrosca. I am sick and tired of people coming here and taking jobs from US citizens. Notice I said citizens, not green cards, etc. I have no problem if people come in legally but we have opened our doors TOO wide. We have to stop somewhere and it needs to be now. We need to clean house of illegals, overdue visa holders, students who have overstayed. Recently the murders of our military flight trainees should stop us from allowing students from foreign countries to train at our flight schools. I make no apology for how I feel. We are losing our country because the gates are open TOO WIDE as I stated before.

  11. as long as the House is in control of the democrats the country is at their mercy. If they want millions to get in for votes then so be it.

  12. As long as there is poverty in America, we should not import any more impoverished people. When all the people are working, then if we need more, we’ll just have to automate.

  13. D’Abrosca is making sense and he is talking to the people that are in agreement with him, bringing in tech people that are in competition with our American students is just crazy hope he wins in North Carolina, if I lived in that state I would absolutely vote for him, and hope his idea would spark some common sense with other in congress

    • Kudos on that! America needs to educate and take care of its own people, first, and when and that’s accomplished, and afterwards if there’s room for others to come and share a piece of the American Dream, so be it. But if and when there comes a time when America has to put its needs before all others, so be it. America was built by those who knew how to build it to be what it is today, by Americans, for Americans. And even though America is composed of a mixture of all races and nationalities, there comes a time when we need to pause and see where are and what our needs are, and act on them, and sometimes it calls for drastic measures. The need is there, as you brought it out, and if measures are not taken now, we we will be as foreigners in our own country!

  14. Stop obstructing justice. if all of you dems were not involved in propagating this lie that has been created, you would not be so desperate in getting rid of President Trump. Bring on the next election and let us see who of you are as deep in the “swamp” as these others have been proven to be.

  15. I would sure vote for him if I lived in No. Car. Where are the No. Car people getting on here and saying they WILL vote for him. But 10 yr moratorium seems TOO SHORT to me. Just in one year we have over a million ILLEGALS. before we let anyone else into America, we need to get ALL the illegals OUT, even the so called—DaCa which was made up by Obama. None of them have any rights to be here, NONE. Do you know that JUST UP TO TODAY, this year ONLY, we have spent 262BILLION, with a B for these illegal garbage( not talking about people whop are truly fleeing communism, etc. but ones that just want to SUCK OFF DECENT TAXPAYING Americans)who are not supposed to be here, so they are garbage to me.

We could have built 24 walls this year alone with that money. And Congress would not give TRUMP 6Billion??? These people are so evil and they only want open borders to give these illegals rights to vote. Those 3 million votes Hillary was talking about is the exact number they predicted would be ILLEGAL votes. From illegals, double voters, and all other fraud votes. I say, clean out the entire voting records and start over, with ALL states mandated to have paper ballots, and show proof of I.D. and birth certificate, and if they are now a citizen, proof of that. We have those records for EVERYTHING else, even food stamps, so the poor can;t say its against them.

  16. Legal immigrants are welcomed in the United States Of America. Its the undocumented illegal non tax paying immigrants who work without paying taxes who are not welcomed.

  17. I would agree, with this gentleman, except, that more needs to be probed into….Why? remember a depleting population, could affect the economy, very much….because there are also many retirees, in the workforce & we cannot have LESS PEOPLE WITH MORE JOB OPENINGS… This would be devastating for our economy…..

  18. Good idea, and do not forget to deport the 50 million plus criminal invaders that impoverish the Americans and legal immigrants.
