Trump Is Officially Not Attending Biden’s Inauguration

President Trump has announced he “will not be going to the Inauguration” of President-elect Joe Biden. This is the first President since 1869 to skip the ceremony of his successor.

“To all of those who have asked, I will not be going to the Inauguration on January 20th,” Donald Trump said in a tweet.

Trump will be the fourth president to not attend his successor’s inauguration. Former presidents John Adams, John Quincy Adams, and Andrew Johnson did not attend their successors’ inaugural ceremonies.

Trump’s statement comes just two days after pro-Trump protesters stormed the Capitol Building to stop Congress from certifying the election results.

The riot at the Capitol resulted in five deaths — including a Capitol Police officer and a woman who had been shot inside the building — and at least 70 arrests.

Trump, during the Capitol raid, tweeted a taped video to supporters, telling them to “go home.” He said, “I know your pain, I know your hurt. We had an election that was stolen from us. It was a landslide election and everyone knows it, especially the other side. This was a fraudulent election, but we can’t play into the hands of these people. We have to have peace.”

Trump continued, “So go home, we love you, you’re very special, you’ve seen what happens, you’ve seen the way others are treated that are so bad, so evil. I know how you feel. But go home and go home in peace,” he said.

The president, after posting the video, tweeted, “These are the things and events that happen when a sacred landslide election victory is so unceremoniously & viciously stripped away from great patriots who have been badly & unfairly treated for so long. Go home with love & peace.”

Congress returned later Wednesday night to certify the Electoral College vote, formally giving Joe Biden his presidential victory.

White House Deputy Chief of Staff Dan Scavino posted a statement from the president on Twitter early Thursday morning, saying, “Even though I totally disagree with the outcome of the election, and the facts bear me out, nevertheless there will be an orderly transition on January 20th.”

“I have always said we would continue our fight to ensure that only legal votes were counted,” Trump said. “While this represents the end of the greatest first term in presidential history, it’s only the beginning of our fight to Make America Great Again!”

Trump posted another video on Thursday night after being blocked from Twitter and Facebook for violating their policies with his previous posts, condemning the “heinous attack” on the Capitol by his supporters and called for healing.

Friday morning, he tweeted, “The 75,000,000 great American Patriots who voted for me, AMERICA FIRST, and MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN, will have a GIANT VOICE long into the future.”

  4. The election was rigged from the start I mean now they’ve been blaming Trump for about this riot, I mean what’s next that he peed wrong I think the Democrats had been a long with it all along and also was a other proud boys and everybody else that are against Trump. If you really want to get somebody out you should get out Dem Nancy Pelosi.
That lady does not care about no buddy democrat-republican nobody

  5. I wouldn’t lower myself to the liars standards either Thank you Mr. Trump our country is never going to recover from the lying Democrats

  6. Mr. President I still support you.
I know the election was stolen, the socialist scum are just pissed off because you were trying to save the country.

The people who believe that the election was fair are preferentially blind and very easily deceived.

I wonder if any of the Biden supporters will be actually aware enough to see the damage that these slimey socialists are going to cause.

I sure would love to see the look on their faces if they ever realize how they were deceived!!!

  7. No one can blame Trump after being cheated out of his second term. When this is written in our history everyone involved in this conspiracy against Trump will be named as traitors to our country and their future families will be punished for their corrupt .actions against the best president we have had in decades

  9. There should not be a Biden inauguration. TRUMP should be our POTUS for the next four GREAT years. Anything else will be fraud and corruption by Democrats. KAG!!!!!

  10. This election was stolen from the President! The courts dismissed all the law suits WITHOUT hearing the evidence which was overwhelming! But the people responsible for this theft are Joe Biden and his entire family. I have lost all trust in anyone in this government and I am watching as our country is moving quickly to socialism/marxism. The whole goal is one world government and a remark made by Joe Biden confirms this when he said “NO AMERICA FIRST”

  11. It is disgusting the way the election was rigged and the fact that the Demorats got away with is is unbelievable.
I have and will always support the Greatest President this country has ever seen. The Demorats knew President Trump would expose their corruption and put them in jail where they belong. Now we know how deep the Swamp is.

  12. I won’t be watching either, none of my friends voted for Biden, he stole the election and Facebook and Twitter helped him.

  13. Well, I’m not going either! Why celebrate the death of America, or the theft of our rights and liberties?

  14. One needs to understand the decision President Trump is not attending the 2021 Inaungural, the election was stolen with tremendous proof, since day one the verbal attacks from the Democratic party, the impeachment, and in workable relationship, not just partisan politics, nor any acknowledgement by the Democratic party. Respect, dignity, is better than calls for unity.

  15. Mr. President you’re the best President in our lifetime and no one else can come anywhere close to you. What an Outstanding President and you will go down in History as the Best President we as Americans has ever had. God bless you and your family. Praying that success will continue to follow you. Thanks for your service.

  16. The media and the democrats incited these people. No one listened to the proof of fraud, cheating, and lies that the democrats have displayed and dumped on us during President Trump’s presidency. The people have had enough. The democrats are responsible for the deaths of these five people, not our President. I wouldn’t attend a fraudulent inauguration either and I am so disappointed that Vice President Pence is. He sure sold out on his partner. President Trump will always be my President and may God protect him and give him strength.

  17. You will always be our President. The media and the democrats are responsible for inciting and inflaming 75 million of us and for the deaths of five people. We have had enough. I wouldn’t go to a fraudulent inauguration either. God Bless and protect President Trump and give him the strength to get back on his feet and lead us out of this socialist regime.

  18. Thank you President Donald J. Trump, for your excellent service to our country! I’m 71 years old and never saw a president say what he would do and do what he said and more! My Wife and I voted for you Mr. Trump two times and are very proud to say so. Wish you and your family the best of luck and God bless.

  20. President Trump, I am so sorry for what you had to go thru with the democrats. The problem was that they couldn”t buy you off like they have every other president, and they feared you because you would stand up for the American people. You didn.t have to run for office, you have plenty of money, you didn’t even accept pay to be the president of the United States. I know that you love this country, and that is why you did it. God bless you for your strength, and your courage, and God Bless America. I will not accept this president. You our my president. Thank you for all that you did. Neither will I watch the swearing in ceremony. I have better things to do.
